A land of castles

A land of castles

In the Loire valley every other town seems to have a castle to visit. Many are imposing, some have beautiful furnishings, they all have fascinating stories. Perhaps the most beautiful of all is Chenonceaux, which spans the River Cher. The one to choose f you only have time to visit one Chateaux as you pass through on your way south. The wine from the relatively new Appellation Chenonceau is also my favourite from the region – even more than Sancerre. Sauvignon Blanc made to be full and rich, to age beautifully and accompany full rich dishes..
