A DREAM COME TRUE!

After 18 years working for France’s leading wine exporter I’ve done it, I’ve gone out on my own. I am proud of many of the wines we produced in large quantities (sometimes literally millions of bottles) for Britain’s largest retailers and wholesalers. Many of them have won critical applause. The winemakers I worked with truly deserve acclaim for making such good wines in huge quantities. Nevertheless the very best wines are those produced by growers who can work on a smaller scale. They know if there is a particular plot of vines that has a different soil or a particularly good aspect. They can make a special cuvee, of a few hundred or a couple of thousand bottles with these grapes. It is wines like this that I will bring to market. I can choose the wines I sell and the growers I want to work with. A new adventure begins. It’s very exciting (and a little scary to give up that monthly salary cheque!)
