Exquisite sweet fortified wine. Hints of lychee, mango and peach. Very intense on the palate. Well-balanced - a gentle acidity balances the sweetness.
A "Vin Doux Natural" made, like port, by adding spirit to arrest the fermentation. This was once the mainstay of the wine industry in the Roussillon area, but has now gone out of fashion.
